Over the last few months the FDA has issued many news alerts about the questionable safety of transvaginal mesh, bladder sling and ObTape mesh systems. Many in the medical community are calling for a vaginal mesh recall due to the thousands of mesh complications these vaginal mesh devices are causing to women. These vaginal mesh injuries include mesh erosion, incontinence, vaginal pain during sexual intercourse, pelvic pain, infections, vaginal mesh falling apart and disintergrating, cutting into the bladder and vaginal walls requiring revision surgery and removal of mesh pieces.
